Anybody have reviews for SOG Flash II folder?

Anyone here use or have experience with the flash II or SOG knives in general? Need a new EDC, that's less than $60. Lost my griptillian for about 3 hours yesterday and was freaking out, realized I would be very upset if I actually lost it. Turned out to still be clipped to my jeans from yesterday which were in laundry, but would rather something not as expensive as I tend to be forgetful. Any input appreciated.

Yea sorry, I was looking at the non serrated, didn't realize I linked the half. I was also looking at the trident. Any problems with the mini?

I used to carry a Flash II all the time... Was always a good knife, and the spring stayed strong in the assisted opening. I still carry it from time to time, but I have about 7 knives that I rotate

A year of everyday carry and this is how its holding up. Luckily I got it off the webz at $38

Cool thanks for the input, only thing that worried me is the belt clip seems kind of short relative to the overall length, is this a problem, or just something that looks different in pictures?

If you're willing to spend $63.75 you can get another Benchmade Mini-Griptilian. Go to the link below and select one in stock. Then, before you complete checkout add "BM25" and "nutnfancy" discount codes. You'll get it shipped to your door for that price.

This is one of the best sites to purchase knives...I'd say CS and Knifeworks, but you can get free shipping with the "nutnfancy" code at CS.

Don't pay $60 plus shipping for a Flash II. The place I linked sells them for $42.99 shipped if you use the "Nutnfancy" code. There really is only a few places you should buy knives, and the none of the big outdoors stores is on that list.

I have a trident(half serrated
) and have had it for about 4-5 years, and 100% satisfied with it. I've done everything from cutting open sandbags and MREs with it in Iraq, to cleaning an alligator with it. Holds up quite nice. WBA (would buy again)

I have a couple the trident and the flash II. They are decent but I prefer benchmade and spyderco over SOG. They just don't seem very sharp out if the box compared to sypderco.

Is everyone in agreement that the belt clip is relatively sturdy? Thats the only question Im hung up on, just from the photos something looks odd about it, maybe the length but I cant put my finger on it.

The "BM25" code is a permanent manufacturer's code, and the "nutnfancy" code is permanent as well. The YouTube personality of the same name is friends with Jeff, the owner of Cutlery Shoppe. If you're buying a Benchmade, you should be buying from CS or Roger at Knifeworks (Louisiana). I usually buy from CS because of the free shipping code.
Oh, and keep in mind...to get the Mini-Grip for $63 you have to select one without the black coating...one with that will be a little more.

you see the little switch on the side that slides,, it's showing red. this switch has to be in the unlocked position for you to open. When it has been in my britches pocket,, sometimes the switch slides over to the locked position and when grabbing it and flipping the assist button,, it won't open because of the "lock switch",,, understand?
What I'm gonna do is cut off part of a match or a small piece of wood that i can wedge in behind the switch to hold it in the red, or unlocked position.. That has been the only problem with mine. IMO,, why have an assisted knife if you have to unlock the lock switch.. I don't have serrated and i have the weird looking point, it's not a drop point,, sort of a wedge point. I had never had one like that....

I own over 30 knives, and I've purchased almost every one from Cutlery Shoppe, Knifeworks or Amazon.

I have one and like it. Very light and strong spring assist - blade has held up well so far. Think I paid 40
