Those old guys always seemed to be so worried about me having my safety glasses on. I would get yelled at every time I went out there.

I wouldn't call it a "big deal". But it is one of the nicest shooting ranges on the Northshore.
Has 3 separate ranges(pistol, rifle & shotgun). It's well run by an all volunteer, nonprofit organization (the only state owned range like that). And it's kept up, cleaned and maintained well.
