Opinions? Any "must trys"?

Great place. Steamed Mussels in vinaigrette to start. Seafood paella. Then their homemade nougat ice cream. Their sangria is good and a bargain.

Great date restaurant. I really like the garlic soup, haven't been disappointed with any of the main courses. Pitcher of sangria to split is a steal.
You'll walk out of there smelling like garlic.

Really enjoyable place. As stated, great date spot. You can get a bottle of sangria, split a paella, and an app and you're set. I think they have a shrimp app I remember being tasty, and I highly suggest the paella.
Don't go in with unrealistic expectations. Lola isn't about to uproot and change the Spanish culinary world. Good, but it's uniqueness elevates it in my mind.

Been going there during Jazz fest since the mid-90s.
One of the best hidden gems in the city IMO.
Paella lives up to the hype.
I remember when it didn't have a liquor license and the waiter would walk across the street to Whole Foods (no longer there) to get wine for you, if you wanted (you had better be ready to give a killer tip).
Needless to say, the house sangria did not yet exist...

I love Lola. It's heavy on garlic, so be prepared. My favorites are...
Garlic shrimp (great for dipping the pistolettes with garlic spread)
Tropicale salad (crab, avocado)
Grilled lamb chops with gorgonzola dip
Paella
