how much of an issue is this thing with chevron in ecuador?

I don't really keep up with the lawsuits of the O & G industry but as I was headed out the house tonight I saw a headline on Fox business about a big problem possibly looming for Chevron in Ecuador.
Any care to explain why there will or won't be pain felt as a shareholder? thanks

Every o&g company gets taken to courts. I wouldn't care if I were a shareholder.

So vol speaking of oil spill, thoughts on BP? they seem to be growing again, would you buy @ $43? Nice basically 5% yield or does the settlement scare you?
