I am so blessed to have been alive and witness his career.

He is just so badass.

The things he can make that guitar do, are just superhuman. He might be an alien.

He is the only person on that show last night that actually deserves to be called an icon

His solo of While My Guitar Gently Weeps at the rnRHOF ceremony a few years back still sticks in my mind. Even George's son Dhani was in awe.

Just yesterday while mowing the grass I had my IPod on random, Prince's "Free" from the 1999 album came on. Song never stood out to me until then. It's a sign of a great artist, musician that a song can still grab someone 30 years after it was released.

I watch this thing all the time becuase it is just that good.

Though, I kinda LOL at Prince after watching Kevin Smith (Clerks,Mall Rats, Dogma) talk about his experience with Prince.

I'm just gonna leave this moment of epic strangeness here. Fast forward to six minute mark to see Prince join the fun...

Prince is so amazing, that I watched an award show.

Kid Rock's presentation was almost worth it.

That was crazy. Prince was fricked up out of his mind.

There is a youtube video of one of the first live performances of purple rain. Dude is ripped on "peruvian army marching dust" I'm going to look for it. He slays it.

When legends like Petty and Clapton step back and defer to him, you are seeing something special.

He could be the most talented person to ever walk the planet. Supposedly he was a badass in all sports on top of being able to play 18 instruments.

I couldn't tell if he was channelling his inner Jimi or just putting off that kind of vibe. He definitely seems much more into Hendrix-esque style and rock in the last 15 years or so.

Seriously, if you haven't heard Kevin Smith tell this story, you are missing out.

Prince is amazing though. Got to see him at UNO in '98...crazy good show
