First off really enjoyed the movie, had to see it in 3D which I didn't want to but oh well.
As soon as the villain started wrecking shite on the Klingons and jumping 50 feet I knew he was enhanced and it was Kahn.
Liked the twist on the original where Kirk was irradiated instead of Spock.
Blonde chick underwear scene...yes...her body is crazy. Is that the same Australian blonde chick from Transformers?
First half of movie was good, last 40 minutes was fricking intense.
I'd give it an 8 out of ten.

i thought of it as more of a slap in the face to the audience

I thought it was a great homage, and was well acted. I knew what was coming (and that it wasn't permanent) and it still had an impact.

Abrahms will be perfect for the Star Wars franchise.

Why does every one think she is an Aussie?
She's a Brit, and no, she isn't.
Should have posted this in the other discussion thread FWIW

Of course the good guys were going to win if that's what you mean by predictable.
The Kirk/Kahn scene flying between ships was really cool.
When the missles were beamed over I actually thought crew members would be in them to attack not just bombs.
The crash scene was cool.
My biggest complaint was the guy playing Kahn was sub par as an actor (who is he anyway). I also thought the made bones too over the top.

It was half joke, half homage that was salvaged IMO by how good the preceding scene was. People applauded in my theater at its inclusion.
Even knowing he was going to come back, the expressed pain felt real enough to be sympathetic with the expressed rage.
The only "god awful" part for me was early in the movie when Kahn says he can save Benedict's daughter and you have that super long shot zooming in to his face that's about 10 seconds too long with over the top dramatic music playing in the background.

I didn't care for him. He wasn't awful, just seemed a little sloppy.
Who is he. What else has he been in. Looked like the guy off of American Horror Story but I know that's not him.

It did not bother me...but I agree with those that say that a very menacing, fury-laden but "quiet" "Khan" would have been better.

Just stop talking now before you dig yourself deeper.

I was the only one in the theater that burst out laughing at Scotty's tirade where he said "What did you do anyway? You just sat perched on things looking like an oyster. "
Not sure what that says about me
