#1 junior welterweight contender (Lucas Matthysse) vs. #2 (Lamont Peterson), coming up on Showtime. Been waiting for this fight for a while! Winner to face champion Danny Garcia. I'm taking Matthysse by an early- to mid-round KO.
Right now, there's a good fight between Lee Purdy and Devon Alexander.

Alexander looked alright even though he basically couldn't use his right hand after the first round because he hurt it. Purdy basically was a punching bag for 6 rounds until his corner stopped the fight. Alexander then proceeded to call out Khan and Mayweather. Khan would be a good fight, Mayweather would dominate another decision.

Was you the guy trying to tell me that Lamont peterson was an elite fighter? I said khan lost to middle of the road and you came back with "peterson is no middle of the road"??????
I may be mistaken but i think it was you. Do you still feel he is a top fighter?

Yes, that was me. Although I never said Peterson was an elite fighter. You said he was a middle-of-the-road fighter, and I said that wasn't true. I stand by that.
I correctly predicted that he'd lose this fight by early KO. Matthysse is on another level. Peterson still has a belt at 140, though. ETA: So, to answer your question, yes. I still believe Peterson is better than a middle of the road fighter.

You are looking too much into a fighters "belts" . Peterson is a little better than an average fighter imo. I never look at belts or standings anymore in boxing because the system is broken and flawed.
While Garcia and Matthysse will be a fun fight to watch, it will be a fight where both men get hit alot and who last longer and takes the best punch. Neither are technically sound and both can be beaten easily by the right matchup
