Going to Galveston after low tide tonight. Got a strong light, a gig and a floating well to stick the fish in. This is my first time. Plan on doing some fishing for specs as well. no boat.

Shuffle your feet so you don't get popped by a ray

This X100000000, happened to my father while we were out on Cat Island on a camping trip when I was a kid...not a fun ride back for anyone, especially him.

Get really drunk...and look for ovals in the sand.

Good Luck!

Didn't see a thing. It took a while just to find a spot to walk into the water. The first spot had too much wave action and we couldn't see anything in the murky water. We drove to the south side of the island and found a great spot. Lots of bait. No waves. Good visibility. But still nothing. Long ride back at 6 am this morning.

Too windy yesterday. I was fishing down there yesterday afternoon and lost a good flounder while wade fishing. He was in 3-4foot of water.
