Yes!!

Just replacing it with a nicer project
shite. This is a terrible idea but I understand that politics have a lot to do with it.

Will there be a place to hang flat screen TV's over the fireplace or just like a regular wall?

A baseball stadium would fit perfectly there. Then we could move the Zephyrs to the quarter and start the process of turning NOLA into a 3 sport city when we pull the Marlins out of Miami and rename them the Redfish.

That would be awesome if we could get baseball to take off, but the facility they have now is really nice, would be hard to make a plan to move them.

It's called a bus. They know how to take them. I'd rather provide every resident with a free bus pass for life than have the city waste that valuable space.

See, to be mayor, you'd have to be elected. And if this was your position, you wouldn't be. And if you did this after you were already elected, you'd probably be assassinated.

Or...you'd be called "racist", which completely prevents you from doing what you were going to do, apparently.

Old projects are simply replaced with new projects and the people that don't stay in the new projects proliferate and destroy other neighborhoods with the help of Sec 8.

Government housing is disgusting.

They should give the residents 20 seconds notice and commence with the napalm

HANO, in partnership with the city, plans to redevelop the 23-acre Iberville site as well as an expanded 300-block area called "Iberville-Treme" that is bordered by Tulane and St. Bernard avenues and Broad and Rampart streets. The nearly $600 million project calls for the construction of 2,446 apartments including a one-for-one replacement of all of Iberville's 821 public housing apartments.

Such a fricking stupid use for that property.

Move em to the East and put that parcel on the market.

I just want to see them come down. No doubt either financing will fall through, or some other issue will delay the build. Delay delay delay. It's our best hope.

That's great news unless they build another project.

They used to house medical students there before public housing was integrated. Those things are old.
