Tool- several times but the best was 1998 at UNO

Rage against the machine- UNO around 1999/2000, they turned on the house lights during "killing in the name" and from my vantage point, I saw the whole arena jumping up and down.

Melvins/Tomahawk at house of blues. Mike Patton is incredible.

Ben Harper/Live/stone temple pilots back to back to back at voodoo.

Queens of the Stone Age/ nine inch nails at Katrina voodoo on the Fly

Josh Ritter- can really tell he enjoys what he does.

Steve Marriott is one of my all-time favorite vocalists. I still have my old Humble Pie albums with Peter Frampton in the group. But the band was better with Clem Clempson.

A bit of a groupie for years. My buddy just sent a pic of Robert Fripp at a conference in England. Dude is getting on in years.

I have seen RUSH 9 times. SO......


But Bob Seger at PINE KNOB pavilion in Michigan was a treat.. The sax player swang in a bucket from the rafters while he played the opening of "Turn The Page"...........

Bruce Springsteen at Winterland on December 15, 1978. Two friends and I bought tickets from a scalper that we won a coin toss with to save $30 which was very important since alcoholic beverages were sold at Winterland. I wasn't a fan of Springsteen, and I still don't care for much of his music, but the performance was absolutely mesmerizing.

Among the other memorable concerts I attended were many of the Day on the Green concerts that Bill Graham staged at the Oakland Coliseum. It was pretty cool to get to see so many bands perform on a single day. Two of my favorites were back-to-back concerts involving the Who and Grateful Dead in Octoober of 1976. The first day the Grateful Dead opened and played about 3 hours, then the Who came on and played another 3 hours. The next day they did the same thing, but in reverse order. Both bands were at the top of their games, and you can imagine the crowd to see the Dead and Who in the Bay Area. It was a blast.
