Reacher was better, both were worth a watch.

I have seen Guilt Trip but have not seen Jack Reacher.

Wasn't all that bad like you said, but it definitely wasn't anything special. I'd recommend Jack Reacher I guess.

I am trying to imagine a universe where someone would ponder which one of these two films to watch, and then I see this thread.

Big fan of the Reacher books, and as much as I hate to admit it, Cruise manages to pull it off. Guy may be screwy in the real world but he knows what he's doing in the Reel one.

Yeah I said it, Reel one. Sorry

I imagined as much. I saw the trailers on TV, and nothing about it made me want to watch it.

Probably the only chance I'll wind up seeing it is on cable with my wife having the remote. That's how I wound up watching half of Leap Year, which is just a series of mishaps poorly disguised as an actual love story.

I was not disappoint with Reacher, although I had my doubts going in.

I like dragging up old threads.

I watched Reacher a couple weeks ago and really enjoyed it and I am finishing up Guilt Trip now. I will say that I haven't been impressed with Guilt Trip at all so far. I decided to turn it on since Yvonne Strahovski was in it and I have seen her for all of 10 seconds and she was pregnant.
