I have always wanted to know more about Jack Bauer, but given the format of the show, you never really got to learn anything about him personally.

John Locke was pretty high up there.

Homer Simpson - 24+ years of being the center of a sitcom
Al Bundy - long running center of a sitcom focused primarily on his life
Data -(Star Trek TNG)
Butters - Cartman wins out, but we know all about Butters too
Fraiser - Two shows, lots of back story.

Mulder/Scully
Locke
Daniel Jackson

Surely some Soap Opera characters fit here

I'd say George was the most dissected character of Seinfeld.

Don Draper is pretty high on that list, if not the top.

I agree with Tony Soprano. They did a good job of letting you know how his mind really worked.

Tony is the only one that compares to cartman. Cartman has so many wrinkles though that are just commonly shown but add up

Psychopathy - could write a paper on this

Schizophrenic - Cupid me and when he gets rid of his toys & Mitch Connors

Keen business sense

Multilingual

Leadership skills

Just so many facets of his personality are explored, I could actually keep going

Walter White, Don Draper, Tony Soprano, and Larry David all seem very "thoroughly explored" to me.

Jack Shepard. We learned all about his daddy issues, marriage issues, drinking issues, faith issues, leadership, etc etc etc.

And we even had an entire episode about his stupid tattoo.
