Latest regional projections have South Alabama (RPI: 14) coming here. At this point, I think The Jags are a no doubt host team.
Also, he has the only other Louisiana team (ULL) not playing in our regional. If there is only 2 Louisiana teams, you can bet the committee will put them in the same regional.

Whats that make Etheridge at SEbaseball? Only 3 SEC hosts and one host in Manhattan Kansas??

I don't know why they try and predict the regionals themselves. The NCAA will do what it wants. ULL will likely be in Baton Rouge. South Bama is a possibility but more likely hosting or going somewhere else.

Yeah it's pretty stupid. They're usually way off most of the time.

In terms of who goes where, yeah, it's kind of pointless, but I remember a website took the final projections from PG, BA, CBN, SEBaseball, CB Daily and compared them to the actual field in terms of how many of the 64 teams they got right.
I think Rogers actually missed the most but it was only like 5 or 6.
In terms of getting a feel for what teams are safe and what teams are on the bubble, as well as who hosts and who doesn't, these projections are pretty good.

Its about like the basketball projections..they usually get the teams that are in correct. They are off when it comes to who goes where.
I'd be surprised if this was close to correct:
Manhattan Regional
1. Kansas State 37-15 #22 (B12 Auto)
4. Southern Miss 26-23 #116 (CUSA Auto)
2. Arkansas 34-17 #44 (SEC at large)
3. Creighton 28-14 #45 (MVC at large)

if you think , he is an idiot , wait until the offical pairings come out!
would think that vandy & lsu would be in two different brackets & there only chance to meet would be in the finals.
the way it is going - talking about the top 8 seeds, they should split up the west coast, sec & acc teams. i know then they have to play the games, but they have screwed lsu.
give the local teams , in state, a chance to travel.

It will be interesting to see if Arkansas gets a regional. If they do USA may not. My feeling is USA is a host team and the Hogs travel.
