Indian Jambalaya?

I've been experimenting a lot with Indian and Thai lately. I had some broccoli in the fridge and wanted to use it for something so I made THIS.

During the course of making it, I couldn't help but think of how similar it was to my Gonzales style Jambalaya I made using the info I found on this board.

It isn't much to look at, but the flavors are fantastic. Instead of the laundry list of spices that the original used, I sub'd for (2) teaspoons each of garam masala and curry powder.

I might try the Gonzales style Jam again and substitute the different spices and see what happens. It'd make for a neat experiment.

Biryani is rice cooked seperately
Pullao is rice cooked n a broth
