Picking Up xxxxx For Dinner At Noon in NOLA, Eating in BR Tonight? Ideas?

Will be in New Orleans around noon. Wife & I will be busy until dinner time.... Thought about picking something up that we can eat for dinner.
What are some ideas of things I could grab in New Orleans around noon that would stil be good to eat tonight about 6? (reheating is feasible, if food will still be desirable)
I say no to Poboys, bread wont keep.... Im not really into microwaving food - unless there will be no quality reduction.
Dinner being something I cannot get in Baton Rouge is the objective here.
Thought about a Muff from Central Grocery.

Muff is your best bet. If it was Monday I would say RBR. Check out World Deli for the muff.

So you're going to carry food around in your car all day, unrefrigerated, and you don't want anything that needs to be heated up by 6 pm? Sounds like a recipe for food poisoning unless you're talking about dry-cured salumi. That said, Cochon butcher's 'Gambino' sandwich is a fine thing.

I'd think a cheese and charcuterie plate from Cochon's Butcher, along with some pancetta mac and cheese and boudin would be pretty fire when you got around to eating it later.

I call R&O's and order muffs "packed for travel" quite often. They sometimes put the cheese on the bread, but the olive salad and meats are packed separately. I try to remember to ask them to pack all the ingredients separate from the bread. You can order some extra olive salad, as well, if you like, for home use. Theirs is my favorite. It has a little spicy bite to it.
I think R&O's would also pack an RB poboy "to travel". Just ask and tell them to pack the bread separately from all the other ingredients.
I love the Gambino from Butcher, but I don't think it lasts well for later eating or it hasn't when I've had a leftover part of the sandwich. Bread gets a bit moist from the dressing.
