"The response to ‘24’ is unlike anything I have ever experienced as an actor before," blurbs Sutherland. "To have the chance to reunite with the character, Jack Bauer, is like finding a lost friend. The story ideas from Howard Gordon are exciting and fresh, and will not disappoint. Great thanks to 20th Century Fox Television, Imagine Television and the FOX network for this opportunity. Make no mistake, my goal is to knock your socks off. See you soon."

The mole inside CTU is really a triple agent only pretending to spy for the terrorists, but no one at CTU knows this until David Palmer, who was never really killed but faked his own death to rejoin the Unit (and get away from his crazy bitch wife), calls Bauer in a midseason cliffhanger and promises the reveal the real danger .... during the next episode of "24".

Like to see Tony come back too.

That would be too preposterous even for 24. Anyway, his cycle reached its max potential.

Yal think it'll pickup wherever the last season ended or be something new/fresh? I lost interest with about 2 seasons left, but wouldn't mind watching the new season if I won't be lost the whole time.

doesn't mean Zachary/Yvonne/adam can't make an appearance on 24.

I can dream, leave me alone

The last season left Jack in limbo, so it will have to relate back to it.

I have a feeling this will be really good. Gordon said he has new fresh material. I've been needing some 24 in my life.

This never bothered me because I thought season 1 was so groundbreaking for tv at the time.

I think he is referring to season 2 with Kim being stuck in the wilderness with a cougar.

I read somewhere that fox originally did 12 episodes of the first season, then when the show became successful, they ordered the remaining 12 episodes. I assume that is their plan here

Fox initially ordered only 13 episodes — the successful rescue at the end of the season's first half was planned as a series finale in the event that the show was not renewed.

Before I ever watched this show, people made this scene out to be some awful, protracted subplot. It really wasnt anything that ridiculous, especially compared to other subplots like the Johnny drama survivalist

Any predictions on which characters will be returning?

Jack and Chloe are locks I think. Kim, unfortunately, will probably make an appearance. I hope they work Logan in somehow.

Dear god no. Do you not remember how they left him at the end? How on earth could they bring him back other than referencing him
