Have always liked his game, and his career numbers have always been solid.

However, I think last years power was a fluke and he'll be back to his career average of 15-20 HR's a season but should drive in 100+ again with the Royals actually being decent.

Driving me insane right now though, .228 4HR 20RBI.

Buy low candidate. July & Sept are his best months. Was .917 OPS hitter in the 2nd half in '12

To me, he's like a shitty version of Joe Mauer... at a position where there's infinite options.

Wouldn't touch him in a draft or trade.

That may be the worst comparison I have ever seen.

I'm not comparing them as players so much as the numbers they wind up: high average, low power types.

In 2012, he turned his doubles into homers. I agree he is not that great if he only goes deep 15 times, but his numbers last year were strong. It will be interesting to see how he does after this season.

His power is coming around, I mean he was in the HR derby last year not that that means shite, but hit 29 bombs while driving in 107.

Just turned 27 not even a month ago, so that power could definitely be legit.

Also factor in the Royals becoming decent finally and his upside is very high IMO.

Yeah, he's got more power than Mauer generally.

He's a solid player, just tough to have a UTIL only guy unless it's Papi.
