It did. I'm just being a little selfish plus I don't want Fear to go off on me for not mentioning it.

Rome.

quote:

I discovered halfway through writing the second season the show was going to end. The second was going to end with the death of Brutus. Third and fourth season would be set in Egypt. Fifth was going to be the rise of the messiah in Palestine. But because we got the heads-up that the second season would be it, I telescoped the third and fourth season into the second one, which accounts for the blazing speed we go through history near the end. There's certainly more than enough history to go around

Would have been amazing.

No one will probably remember this show, but years ago NBC had a show named Kings that only ran for one season. It was based on the biblical story of David set in a modern era.

The story line worked really well being set in the modern times, and I thought the acting was great. The show had tons of potential, but of course NBC cancels anything that shows promise but gets off to a slow start.

I hadn't seen the plans of Rome laid out like that. It would have indeed been epic as hell. I think they canceled it because it was costing too much right?

I remember this one coming out and me thinking "I don't see NBC giving it enough time" so I held off and was going to catch up if it got a 2nd season.

This is one of the reasons that I have given up on NBC. They never give good story lines long enough to develop a core following.

season 1 was awesome, but season two took a quick turn for the stupid. they were digging themselves a shallow grave.

They didn't really have a choice. They were trying to wrap it up in 9 episodes after a 2 year hiatus of being cancelled.

Phil and Lem were awesome and deserved more than 2 seasons.

Party Down

Dug this show too. The dialog was written well, the characters were nicely created, great cast. Not to mention Lizzie Caplan was so girl next door hot. Although I had to wait until the advent of True Blood to see her naked I still "appreciated" her in Party Down.
