Perez doesnt strike anyone out.

Archer has a nice K potential. His slider is a big whiff pitch.

Gibson pitches in a pitcher's park. Could be worth a look. Im not sure how his K potential will translate. Should be around 7k per 9 if I had to guess.

Erasmo was good last year, I'd snatch him up.

Robbie Erlin could be worth a look as far as younger guys go.

Drew Pomeranz got the call for tomorrow. Could be decent if he sticks. Start him away from Coors

Agree for the most part expect I truly believe Perez will blossom.

I would also leave Pomeranz alone solely bc he plays for Colorado. VERY low W and QS potential on that team bc of pitching philosophy

Perez is gonna be good.

I watched Gibson yeaterday and wow. He really impressed me. He has great control over his fastball. He is gonna be badass.

Perez is a better real life pitcher IMO

Pomeranz has good stuff if he can put it together

Added Perez in one because I desperately needed low ERA/WHIP. Hopefully he can give me some QS too.

I like Perez alright, but I play in mostly k/9 leagues. He would kill my k rate.

Well I'm 2nd in K/9 and near last in ERA/WHIP... so worth the trade off.

Archer vs the Astros or Perez vs the Mariners?

5x5 league and i'm winning all pitching categories except strikeouts but i'm only behind by one.

Who should I go with?

ETA: Went with Perez.

both had very similar results so you made the right choice I guess

if you still need K's I might suggest Hector Santiago. dude gets a shite tone of punchouts.

Cardinals are starting to push back Shelby Millers' starts to save him for late in the year and postseason.

Wainwright will now pitch twice before the AS break instead of Miller, swapping places this week with Waino going Tues and Miller Weds.

So if you have Shelby, you'll have him all season as he won't be shut down, but he will have fewer starts in the 2nd half than the 1st.

I am sure he is owned by now in most competitive leagues, but Jarrod Dyson is great for steals when he starts.

He got off to a horrible, horrible start, and there's no a ton of reason to buy in, but Aaron Hicks has been hot for Minny since coming off the DL.

Could also be a source of steals if you are need.

I would, but I'm not fan of Maholm.

Dan is just biased against the Braves

But Maholm is not a good fantasy pitcher at all

Newbie- do I rid myself of Maholm for a young guy like Perez

I'd definitely add Perez. He is only getting better and has a great team to back him up.

Cosart

whats y'alls opinion on him? worth a spot start maybe? I asked this board the same question a few weeks back about Jacob Turner and was told he was meh. I'm stilled pissed about not grabbing him.

Turner is meh. He has a k/9 of 5. Martin Perez k/9 of 4.

People are jockeying over these dudes when they have Mike Leake numbers
