SEC meetings are upcoming. The league has no permanent scheduling format in place. I know this topic has been beaten to death, but I am still damned angry about it. I don't want 9 SEC games. I want Alabama's sorry arse to have to play Florida more often than every 7 years.

Somebody give me some hope.

0.0%

The SEC ought to tell the 4 who cause this to either get grouped together in one division or get bent and drop the permanent opponent crap.

Very unlikely either of those will happen.

And none of that has anything to do with a fear of Florida.

As long as we're the only team that has to play Florida every year...zero chance.

Now that Tennessee is a have-not, they may get tired of playing Bama every, and start chirping.

I wish they'd do away with them altogether, but I'm afraid we're too far along in the process.

Tennessee is as vocal as anybody about keeping the permanent opponents. Even though they suck right now, they aren't scared and don't bitch and moan like others.

Out of curiosity, what would BAMA's record have been against Florida the last 4 years in your opinion?? The only opponent that has kept us from the big enchilada has been....wait for it.....BAMA. Swap anybody else for Florida and still have to beat BAMA in last two meetings for the Gold.

The odds are whatever the odds are that playing Tennessee will cost Bama a couple of Championship shots. As soon they get bumped from the National Championship Game (or the impending playoff) a couple of times by losses to the Vols, they will pull their strings and get the permanent opponents done away with.

What would have been the LSU record since 2005 if we had played Tennessee rather than Florida?

If we play Tennessee in 2006 on the road rather than Florida, I think we make the SECCG and have a real good chance of beating Florida in the SECCG at the end of the season in Georgia.

No matter how you look at this SEC schedule crap, LSU has been at a disadvantage playing Florida EACH year compared to who Alabama, Arkansas, and Auburn play each year from the east.

And this year is just ridiculous with Georgia being added it to it by the Alabama home office.

Only chance is if the league goes to a 9 game schedule. Otherwise, this proposal has been voted down convincingly. The gators want to keep us on their schedule as it's a big money game for them. Their attendance has been somewhat down the past few yrs & they did not even sell out the LSU game this past yr.
