Sounds like he lingered a little too long after closing and then took exception to the bouncers physically removing him from the building.

yea probably didn't want to drive into the EBR drink driver hot zone of perkins road. if he was creating a disturbance, fine, but if he was just chilling wtf

I do, but I grew up knowing him. Played recreation baseball with him in Plaquemine. Everyone knew him as blue.

I wonder why they decided to open on Perkins, seems like it would do better downtown

nope...they just know it's easy pickins there. On a good night that place is packed.

Just so you know this is what BRPD likes to do. My folks went to eat at Superior on one of the busy nights. Mom was going thorough chemo treatment so she wasn't drinking. They got out on to Government and were pulled over not 30 seconds later. The cop said she "didn't leave her blinker on long enough before changing lanes. Then felt like a total douche when my bald arse mom got out the fricking car for a sobriety test. My dad was bombed and wanted to sue the city for harassment.

You have to understand why this stretch of Perkins gets a bad rap.

You have the Bquick, which is a centralized location BRPD unofficially uses. Then there are the bars such as the Bulldog and Uncle Earls, as well as popular restaurants. Its a busy stretch because a lot of students / those living on Brightside won't take Lee for similar reasons, so the alternative is to take Perkins to Stanford. Also, there are bars in the not-so-immediate area like The Cove, Fox and Hound, and newly opened Pelican Bar on Corporate. Some drivers will take College to Perkins and drive that stretch.

Ultimately it's because it's a well-traveled part of road during typical bar / going out hours.

Everyone who was a fan/followed LSU while he played here.

Always loved Randall "Blue" Gay. Good luck...

ETA: He looks like an older Chamillionaire.
