Well, at least that is what the media wants you to believe.

So not only is not hiring a gay athlete discrimination but if you release a shitty punter who supports gays then you are also discriminating.

He's been pro gay, publicly, for over a year. Why now?

so the fact that he was highly paid, not that good and could be replaced by someone who will do just as good a job for 25% the price had nothing to do with it?

I agree, the media is making this an issue, I think it is a coincidence.

Not sure if true, but if true, then it's fair. Shouldn't be supporting them.

It cant be because they found a better, cheaper punter in the draft to replace a declining Kluwe

Nah couldnt be that

Kluwe is low class and a distraction when it comes to expressing his opinions, regardless of the merits of his opinions.

So, good for him.

you do realize he was 31/32 for getting punts inside the 20 and they replaced him with a younger, cheaper, likely better punter in the draft right?

He is a league average punter making 1.5 million in his walk year. The special teams coach did not like all his activism because he did not focus enough on punting. Plus, it was obvious they were going to release him when they drafted a new punter.

Drafting the new punter is a smart move cause he will be better and saves upwards of a million towards the salary cap.

One of my favorite stories on Kluwe is that he was asked to name the teams in the NFC and could only name 14. He pays zero attention to football. All he does is come in, punt, leave, and go on his computer.

He was paid like the best, yet he was middle of the pack last year. If you're gonna pay him that much, he better be top 5.

That's why he was cut...

He gave the Vikings another fine season: dropping 25 percent of his kicks inside the 20-yard line with only two touchbacks and a career-best 39.7 yard net punting average.
Another fine season? Those numbers are pretty average.

This has to be a troll article. I'm truly losing faith in humanity more and more with each passing day.
