Probably would get a better response by giving them the Hook'em horns sign. Or call them: Little Long Horns, Texas Junior, Little Brother, etc....

It doesn't bother me. In fact our fanbase has embraced and even capitalized on it. 
bama fans still call us that but they religiously call us LSWho. the gumps nickname unlike corndogs have became their universal nickname and yes LSU can claim they came bama the Gump nickname
