I wish I knew how to make games. I would take a lot of PC mods and build Xbox Arcade and PSN games around them
The Hidden or Trouble in Terrorist Town for example. Both would be huge sellers IMO on consoles.

A game that could combine the story and character development strengths of an RPG with the open world setting of a sandbox game while using good FPS mechanics.

A modern cyberpunk sandbox RPG - looks like CD Projekt is about to take a stab at this.

RDR's story and character development would be so much better if it had a different setting. I like Old West feel, but it leads to so many cliches that take away from any development, imo.

Red Dead is a third person shooter, and considering there's no competitive multiplayer, your controller setup means very little.

Thanks for strengthening my point that RDR doesn't fit the bill.
And competitive multiplayer has nothing to do with FPS mechanics other than good mechanics enhance the multiplayer experience, but other than that they're separate issues.
