There is the Exorcist followed by a few others.

Salem's Lot is certainly up there. A few scenes from the Omen although it seems more campy now than back then.

You see to me, Silence of the Lambs is just an all around good movie. Not really scary to me. Just a good film.

Wizard of Oz
Return to Oz (the 80s sequel)
Neverending Story
Alice in Wonderland

All are creepy. Any pre-digital age fantasy movie comes off as creepy.

Sinister was pretty good

I watched this movie last night, and I was alone watching it. I had to turn a light on because I got a little scared to be honest. But there have been a few movies that kept me from sleeping well. Usually movies that involve ghosts or child murdering.

The first Paranormal Activity before they ruined it with multiple sequels. Saw it at the rave before it was released throughout the country.

I liked Sinister. Creeped me out too. Especially the home videos.

Yeah the music that was played during them really fricked with me. I was scared to go let the dogs out, because I thought the demon guy was going to be in my back yard. disgusting for a 38yr old man to be scared to go outside.

The strangers was fricked up. Wasn't that a true story?

I think it was loosely based on something that happened. But wiki says otherwise.

The Ring
Se7en was intense and the part where the guy coughed was the first and only time in a movie that I've actually jumped during a movie.

ET.

When the government came to take ET away, I thought that the government was going to come take me away.
