Those men said this as they were setting up the government. While they were writing the constitution. The same constitution that Obama keeps trying to wipe his arse with. This quote really is nothing. Until you look at Obama past with Ayers and Frank Marshall Davis. And every one of his quotes saying that no one needs to make this much money. It aint his job to tell me how much money I do or do not need.

Our forefathers who formed this government were concerned of tyranny being right around the corner even after they formed it, so yeah, man hasn't changed his stripes. He is still the same person to not be trusted.
Nothing has changed.
My "forefathers" had nothing to do with the founding of this nation and I doubt yours did either. But hey, it sounds grand... OUR FOREFATHERS. Makes it sound like you know what you're talking about.
However, if you want to speak of the founders, nothing in the Constitution shows this great concern for tyranny. If anything, the founders showed more concern re insurrection. The Constitution specifically grants Congress the power "To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections.." But let's get back to the OP
As usual for this board, you drama queens embellish and mischaracterize what he said and what he meant. Let's look at what he actually said:
quote: True statement. Alex Jones, Glenn Beck, this board...
Unfortunately, you've grown up hearing voices that incessantly warn of government as nothing more than some separate, sinister entity that's at the root of all our problems.
quote: Definitely the case. Alex Jones claims the Boston Bombing is a "false flag"... that the government is behind it.
Some of these same voices also do their best to gum up the works. They'll warn that tyranny always lurking just around the corner.
You should reject these voices. Because what they suggest is that our brave, and creative, and unique experiment in self-rule is somehow just a sham with which we can't be trusted.
Now that you've actually seen what actually said, how is he wrong?

speak for yourself, troll. my forefathers were native americans and immigrants who came over in the 1600s. i don't care about that heritage from a political standpoint as much as i do the philosophical reasons our founders structured a government that changed the world. and yes they did care about to-be-freed slaves. more than their so-called advocates.
