State of sports in the State of Georgia

Can someone break this down for me? I dont really follow the teams in the state of Georgia but it seems like every time I turn on SportsCenter it seem as though another Georgia team is falling short of something. What am I missing? Why cant teams from Georgia ever seal the deal?
