IIRC, the main complaints I have heard were about the mag release. The PPQ just fits my hand like no other gun I have ever held and the weight of it is balanced perfectly throughout the gun

meh, non issue once you get used to it. its not any harder or more difficult. some say its even easier.

I have tWO Springfield XD models. A full size XD 9mm, a super compact .45 ACP XDs (my carry gun) and I love them both

Maybe look into .357 sig as well I hear the ammo is easier to find than 9mm in the current climate
