First of all, I live in Houston...and I see all LSU home games just fine.

Well then that doesn't apply to you and purpleandgold86, I'm just refering in general to those saying this game is necessary so that our Houston alumni can get a chance to see LSU, although yall will probably defend that too.

frick no I wouldn't agree with that!

20 years of having season tickets, and 8 years of drving from Houston. I consider a game like this to be a "gift", for lack of a better word. Just one weekend of the season I won't have to load up the kids and tailgating gear. If it doesn't happen...oh well. I'll smile on the road trip back home like I do for every other game.

Wait, so you don't even buy season tickets and you are ragging all over this thread bitching about not a good enough home schedule? Goddamn, go drive your car off a cliff dude.

I'll enjoy picking up tickets for free for half the games this year.

I hope you do. I'm glad that you are so awesome that you get free tickets to the Furman game. You must have a lot of pull with the university.

I haven't seen a single person say that yet. That is pretty pussy too. I don't think LSU owes anyone anything when creating a schedule. They should look out for what is best for the program. Playing a game in front of a primetime national television audience in a recruiting hotbed in a city that has one of the biggest alumni bases outside of Louisiana probably benefits the program in some way shape or form.

and I still make the effort to buy tickets and make it to every home game?

We need to talk. Would sure be easier to have a buyer in Houston.

This game is necessary to continue to build and develop our recruiting in Texas, particularly in the Houston area. Houston area has given us many good recruits. Plus it would be nice to steal a few kids away from the grasps of A&M.

Are you interested in selling tickets? I will gladly commit to you for buying tickets year in and year out if you are interested in selling. I want tickets in the lower bowl, so if you are looking to find a consistent buyer, then by all means, let me know.

playing ND with NBC is completely different.

who's West Virginia's OOC game? I wouldn't put them on LSU's level either. LSU is going to get a bigger payday from everyone but Oklahoma

I think he was naming those teams because we are playing all of them in the upcoming years and we played WVU a couple seasons ago.

I can see AJ running QB keepers all night against those slow boys.

we'll see if those actually happen. We were originally supposed to play OU in 2014 and 2015 and we scheduled Arizona State way back around Katrina. That has nothing to do with future scheduling, since we made those deals before these pre-season bowl games got big

Exactly. It was a pretty dumb statement to make, but then again, so have a lot of the comments in this thread.
