Matt Barlow of Iced Earth, Dio and Tim "Ripper" Owens.

Barlow is just super powerful and amazing in most every way.

Ripper took over Halford's place in Judas Priest and has a more powerful voice with equal range. Can he sing Painkiller as well? No, but he can do everything else better. He also took over for Barlow when he left Iced Earth.

Tim Owens is one of my favorites as well. I saw him with Dio Disciples and he was awesome.

Soundgarden themselves say they're not metal, though I think Badmotorfinger is a very metal album. Cornell sounded great on that, not so great on their newest one however.

Dio and Phil Anselmo have always been 2 of my favorites

That is two ends of a very broad spectrum.

Dio was my choice.

Great singers there Tigermeat! Staley is a legend, it's a shame that he died so young, drugs took the life of an artist who was truly the real deal, and everytime I hear Alice in Chains, he's always the first person that comes to my mind. Jerry Cantrell and the gang have soldiered on without him, which is respectable, but you can't ever replace a Layne Staley, but still respect to William DuVall, he is a very talented musician in his own right.

Mike Patton is a musical beast, no doubt! And of course, Mr. Bruce Dickinson, one of the chosen few who can be called metal's elite. Now, I don't recognize the guy below Bruce, who is that? When you tell me who it is, I'm sure it will ring a bell, lol.

Tony Harnell
Everyone's a Star

Ray Gillen
Dreams in the Dark

King Diamond
Desecration of Souls

John Bush
Reign of Fire

I've got to give some recognition to New Orleans' own Ben Falgoust of Soilent Green and Goatwhore. One of the best frontmen I've ever seen and one of the hardest working guys in metal. I've met him plenty of times too, he's a great guy.

Dickinson might be the best still doin it at a high level, literally.

He's hands down the best metal singer that can also pilot one of these.

Depending on the hour of the day... either Bruce Dickinson or Maynard James Keenan. It's like comparing crawfish versus bacon.

Mikael Åkerfeldt belongs in this list too.

Phil Rind from Sacred Reich is one of my favorites as well.
Sacred Reich - The American Way

As is Phil Anselmo of course
<-----

...and if you're gonna put Phil Anselmo down, you need to put Kyle Thomas from Exhorder down. Phil Anselmo got his vocal style from Kyle growing up in the NOLA metal movement.

Exhorder - Into The Void (Sabbath cover)
One of my favorite vocal performances, said to be Tony Iommi's favorite Sabbath cover.

James Hetfield's vocals on "And Justice For All" are pretty damn good too.

Favorite band of all time.

Great song choice btw, FBD is a classic. Shedding Skin is another good one that no one ever talks about from FBD.
