Yes, it's the golden age of Saints football. Besides winning and success it is cool to be set as a franchise. Ancient Saints teams were a veritable turnstile for both personnel and staff.

Came across this list of players that have played for the most head coaches on the same team. Quite a few Saints. Even talented players have a hard time reaching their full potential in such a fluid environment. Check it out-

player & # of HCs under with the Saints
Derland Moore nor 7 1975 1985 Bum Phillips; Wade Phillips; Dick Nolan; Dick Stanfel; Hank Stram; John North; Ernie Hefferle
Tom Myers nor 7 1972 1981 Bum Phillips; Dick Nolan; Dick Stanfel; Hank Stram; John North; Ernie Hefferle; J.D. Roberts
Archie Manning nor 7 1971 1981 Bum Phillips; Dick Nolan; Dick Stanfel; Hank Stram; John North; Ernie Hefferle; J.D. Roberts
John Hill nor 6 1975 1981 Bum Phillips; Dick Nolan; Dick Stanfel; Hank Stram; John North; Ernie Hefferle
Bobby Scott nor 6 1975 1981 Bum Phillips; Dick Nolan; Dick Stanfel; Hank Stram; John North; Ernie Hefferle
Joe Federspiel nor 6 1972 1980 Dick Nolan; Dick Stanfel; Hank Stram; John North; Ernie Hefferle; J.D. Roberts
Stan Brock nor 5 1980 1986 Jim Mora; Bum Phillips; Wade Phillips; Dick Nolan; Dick Stanfel

Dave Lafary nor 5 1977 1985 Bum Phillips; Wade Phillips; Dick Nolan; Dick Stanfel; Hank Stram

Another list at the same site lists players who have played for the most head coaches on all NFL teams. Saints at the top there too. Carney the most alltime-

Morten Andersen 11 1985 2007 Bobby Petrino; Emmitt Thomas; Jim Mora; Mike Tice; Dick Vermeil; Jim Fassel; Dan Reeves; June Jones; Jim Mora; Bum Phillips; Wade Phillips
Archie Manning 11 1971 1984 Les Steckel; Ed Biles; Bud Grant; Chuck Studley; Bum Phillips; Dick Nolan; Dick Stanfel; Hank Stram; John North; Ernie Hefferle; J.D. Roberts

Very much like our current defense.

when ya think about it, it's pretty crazy. The top guys on one team for 9-10 years but under 7 different coaches. John Hill & Scott 6 different HCs in 6 years.

I agree. It is nice for the Saints to be "set". Good owner, GM, and coach. Franchise QB. Large fanbase with sold out season tickets and a waiting list. After the turmoil and lack of success the first couple of decades, this really is a golden age for the Saints.

Getting Payton's contract redone was big, he is in until 2017. Benson is obviously the owner for life and when he dies Rita is taking over, so there will hopefully be stability even after his death. Brees locked up until 2017.
