The funny thing to me is how people discover Spotify and think it is this revolutionary thing when Rhapsody has been around doing the same thing for 12 years.

How limited was rhapsody in its music offerings, and how much did it cost per month?

Spotify is free. You only pay if you want it on your mobile device (which is worth paying for). And I rarely come up empty handed when searching for songs.

But wasn't it terrible?

News to me.

I think part of the resistance to things like Rhapsody and Spotify has been that people are absolutely appalled at the idea of "renting" music.

But with spotify, when I put together a playlist, I don't feel like the songs are rented. I feel like I own them.

I pay the $10 a month. I connect to my friends through facebook so when I view the app, I can see what my friends listen to if they choose to allow people to view that. You make playlists and sync them to your phone so that even when you are offline, you can listen to those playlists. I can also subscribe to playlists of my friends, which is awesome and is a great way to find new music through friends that share a similar musical taste with(ewww). It also has radio like pandora without commercials. On top of all that, I can listen to basically any song I want at anytime, as long as my phone is connected to the internet. I have no use for itunes or pandora now and all I pay is ten bucks a month.

the thing that sucks most about these services is that there is virtually no Beatles or Led Zeppelin on either one

Speaking of which, my "Sandusky Mix" is not coming along the way I thought it would. I need songs that have kid's singing in them. Help me out.

It has always had millions of songs. It was $14.99 a month when it was the only one. Now it is $9.99.

I tried it. Found nothing wrong with it. Just like Rhapsody better then.

News to me.

It's downfall is that it only works on Microsoft products.

But you don't once you stop paying.

Led Zeepelin is now available on the PC, but not the mobile app for some reason.

Correct me if I'm wrong, your thread was about Oasis, right? Zeppelin's influence is on a similar scale, but not freaking Oasis. You will never convince me that you weren't flaming with that bullshite.

I never claimed Oasis was more influential than the beatles. Just way better at making songs that don't suck.

But somewhere along the way I said Zep was more influential than the beatles.

I stand by that statement.

The only negative thing i can even think to say about Spotify is them not having some of those big artist like Zepplin, but that is fixed by being able to import any song into spotify and even put it on your phone which makes Itunes obsoulete

Adding The radio function put it over the top

Theres also a ton of cool apps that go with spotify that make it easier to find new music. Its just top notch
