According to "Lost" writer Lindelof, who rewrote the film's third act and spoke with VF contributor Laura M. Holson, the SWAT team was the least of the producing team's worries. After screening a first cut of Marc Forster's geopolitical zombie thriller, Lindelof said the ending was abrupt and incoherent.

Wow. A writer off of "Lost" called the ending abrupt and incoherent? lol this must have been the most confusing movie ever made.

based on the shitty cocktail napkin the LOST finale was mailed in on, I'm not so sure I would give much accreditation to his evauation

for how much the writers/producers freaked out at everyone calling it purgatory, including completely changing the direction of the show in seasons 2/3 (and onward), it is weak that the ending came right back to...a purgatory theme

LOST was such horseshite. I have a hard time ever passing up the opportunity to bash the writing. I think its because people actually buy that show as good writing. I'm not even much of a movie/show snob either.

And then he went and messed up Prometheus. GOd damn it.

Sounds like he's setting expectations low and saying don't blame him if he couldn't save this shite sandwich. Don't worry Mr. Lindelof. Everyone knew that already.

This film has been the biggest clusterfrick of a production of the past decade. This film is absolutely going to blow, and no one can save it.

People overly hate LOST to the absolute extreme. It may not have been the best written show of all time, but that doesn't mean it wasn't among the best shows ever made. What show has even come close to LOST in terms of relevance? Game of Thrones is the only one that comes close, and that's largely due to its even more acclaimed books. The end to LOST was simply fantastic IMO, and people are completely missing the point when they get overly pissy about the purgatory concept in the end.

Agree. I love the ending. The scene with jack on the beach was especially perfect.

I guess the writers, creators, and producers of MASH, St Elsewhere, Hill Street Blues, NYPD Blue, and The Wire all have alot to learn in terms of how to create a relevant TV program

It's going to be a disaster at the box office.
