Mind you this is a fall food plot that is still going strong. I will leave it like this thorugh the summer to provide cover for fawning and birds and also as a food source.
Planted last fall
Crimson clover
winter wheat
triploid rye
purple top turnips
Austrian winter peas
rape
truck pic included to show depth

Great looking food plot, BP! How do you keep the hogs down there from tearin it up, though?

We had a pretty mild winter and have had a slow transition to summer. Heck I hear we have cold weather comming again this week.
Hogs get on it and root under the tree line mostly and will get on it right after planting some. For the most part though if they come on it when it is high they just graze on the standing plants without actually rooting up the ground.

What are those maroon looking things on the bottom. They are absolutely everywhere along the sides of the interstates here in SE LA

Looks great except for the Cummins. Get a Duramax and everything will check out fine.

Nice. I worked on mine yesterday. Trying to keep some year round nutrition. You feed protein?
