I've started walking more and more when I play and I love it. I enjoy the round more and I play better as well. The game is meant to be walked while played. Anyone else enjoy walking much better than riding?

The best way to play is to walk with a caddy carrying your clubs. The caddy should also have a backpack ice chest filled with beer and somehow hookers and blow as well.

Depends on course. I'm not walking Calvert which is 8.2 miles the last time we measured. frick that noise. I play real sports. Not trying to be the best at exercising.

My course is closed one day a week but we're allowed to walk it the facilities just aren't open so I will go out there and walk at my own pace because there might be 5 people on the course. Good workout when it is warm outside.
Other than that, might walk nine holes a couple times a year.

Agreed, only think I don't like about walking is the drinking aspect is fricked.

Youre not drinking fast enough.

It gives you a lot more respect for the pros as well. Not only are they tearing shite up, but they are walking sometimes 7300 yards while doing it.

I can only think of one course around here that allows walking. Well, only one course that I have any chance of playing at. The bad arse private country clubs around Houston are a different story

Same here and it's usually because when I'm carting, I'm too lazy to go back to get the right club.

I find my golf game is better walking esp. when all my friends suck and it takes them a while. But I'm not walking a course that's stupid long in between tee boxes.

Ive never heard of a course not allowing walking

Exactly. I always am too lazy to go back to cart path and get right club.

There are a bunch down here. Oak Harbor is one I've always wanted to walk, and they don't allow it.
