I don't like the wave, but it doesn't bother me if we are blowing someone out.

The wave during a close game is on par with genocide on how bad it sucks.

Yes, it should be killed. The wave is a Yankee thing. Someone mentioned beach balls, I once saw a blowup doll being bounced around in the student section, now that was funny.

It only pisses me off when the retarded students try to start it in a one possession SEC game.

screw that .....it's not chuck e cheese it's fricking tiger stadium......I have never been a trouble maker and I have never done anything close to getting kicked out of tiger stadium (except I did throw one of those dry arse pizzas they sell down a bama band members tuba from up above as they walked in the stadium) but if anyone around me tries to start the wave there will be an altercation .

Guess we should add the wave in with Barney the dinosaur, boy bands, nickleback, beiber, etc. to the list of things that people hate bc everyone else hates it.

The wave is the biggest waste of time and a the biggest distraction at any sporting event. END IT. FOREVER.

Occasionally at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, the announcer will get on the PA and say (or flash upon the jumbotron) - "friends don't let friends do the wave".

Can't find it right now but the Rangers are also running TV commercials where the question is 'what did you do to help the Rangers win'?: you know stuff like I stood up and cheered, I wore a red shirt... One has a guy saying "I sat down when the wave came to me." The team and Chuck Morgan (PA guy and in charge of in game entertainment) don't like the wave as some players have complained in general about it.

Those aren't things people hate because everyone else hates. Those are things people hate because they suck. But you're right the wave should be lumped in with those things, but because it sucks.

The wave gave fans something to do in the 2011 season when we were kicking everyone's arse. Then JJ came back...

Why don't we just stop thinking in terms of controlling what other people do or don't do?

The wave? Who cares? It has never interferred with my enjoyment of the game.

This is how I feel. No one makes you participate during the wave. People really do bitch about the dumbest things. God forbid if people find ways to further their enjoyment during an entertainment event.
