Assassins creed series

I played 1, 2, and brotherhood. I loved 2 and brotherhood. I'm about 1/3 of the way through revelations and its boring as hell. Should I expect this to continue and should I expect that for ac3? If that's the case ill just finish revelations slowly and skip ac3.

Gameplay improves in 3 but the protagonist is a whiny twat, not as good as Ezio.

Revalations is the second worst one behind AC1.
Number 3 is very linear initially and didn't hold my attention. Not sure why this series has regressed because AC2 and Brotherhood are just awesome.

So if I can get through revelations then 3 is worth playing?

I didn't even finish Revelations it was so bad but I will go back one day and finish 3. It finally got to an open world around the time I grew tired of it.

I'm playing revelations one mission at a time...

Beat the 1st one. Loved and beat the second one. Got about halfway on Brotherhood (really liked telling the other assassins to kill)
Never played Revelations or III

Loved 2. Started Brotherhood and kind of like it, but just couldn't push through. With 3........I couldn't even get to the main assasin.

I feel like its a series that doesn't need a new game every year. You need a break from the gameplay. I may be wrong.

The games are so well put together and I really appreciate the quality, but at the same time they get boring rather quickly.
I think it is my play style though. I am a completionist so I wear myself out trying to get everything done while trying to play the campaign simultaneously.
It also seems like the campaign is pretty out there now, even more so than it was before.

When I would feel like that, I'd go treasure hunting or something

This is my problem ... my solution is to put the game aside for awhile if I become bored with it and play something mindless, like COD, and once I feel that my ADD has been sated I go back.
I'm currently in this process with AC3.
Oh yeah I know this goes against our nature but you could always just finish the campaign storyline quest and finish the game rather quickly but I can't bring myself to do this though.

it took so fricking long to get into the meat of the game, so I imagine a lot of people lost interest

I played and beat all of them and the best one was revelations for me because playing as 92 year old Altiar was awesome

It's so damn repetitive and boring after awhile. The missions are so pointless most of the time. I HATE following people for minutes at a time

I loved 3. Sure it had its issues, but damn was it fun.
Tracking down Patrols from the tree tops and hanging the officers from the limbs never gets old.
