Anyone else like ketchup but hate tomatoes?

I've liked ketchup my entire life but I cannot stand the taste of sliced tomatoes.
Anybody else have weird food hang-ups like that?

I'm with you. I don't like the texture of tomatoes, but I'm good with ketchup.

I'm kind of with you on that one. I'm very particular about sliced tomatoes and I like to put a lot of salt on them. Probably the only thing I'm excessive with salt about.

i love ketchup, salsa, pico de gallo, and even tomatoes on a club sandwich but i cannot eat a slice by itself

Yep. I can eat poboys and burgers with raw tomatoes. I can even tolerate diced tomatoes in a salad. And I love salsa and pico.
I can even come as close as eating Caprese Salad.
But I could never just bite into a plain tomato.. or eat a slice.. not even a cherry tomato.

Same. But I am weird about potatoes. I like them more now than I ever have in my life and it's still not very much.

Ketchup, red sauces, pretty much everything derived from tomatoes I'm a fan of. Eating an actual tomato, though? Vomit. I try like once a month. I just can't do it.

I LOVE tomatoes any way they're prepared except on most sandwiches. I love a tomato sandwich, but don't put them on my burger or poboy in most cases.

Look at them from the outside-red, plump, shiny..... cut them open and it's thousands of seeds and a bunch of nasty slime. It's like they're in the larval stage.
