From my understanding, I thought the owners have to agree with it. Unless ur the raiders.

100% disagree. The NBA is a diluted product that has way too many franchises.

Looks like the Maloofs are going to refuse to sell it to the Sacramento group. LINK

“There is no acceptable deal possible” with the Sacramento group, a Maloof family spokesperson told Reuters, “and no serious desire by the Sacramento group to arrive at one. It has become too onerous for us to continue spending time and resources on a process that cannot succeed.”

Yep. There's lots of theories about what's happening right now. What we do know is that the Seattle group won't give up and the Maloofs will not deal with Sacramento and want to push the sale through with the Seattle group.

Greg Miller - Utah Jazz
Robert Sarver - Phoenix Suns
Herb Simon - Indiana Pacers
Larry Tanenbaum - Toronto Raptors
Glen Taylor - Minnesota Timberwolves
Peter Holt - San Antonio Spurs
Jeanie Buss - Los Angeles Lakers

Here's the bad part about the vote yesterday. The Relocation committee has 7 people who were set to vote 5-2 in favor of Sacramento. The Finance committee has 5 people who were set to vote 5-0 in favor of Seattle. The overall vote yesterday should have been 7-5 in favor of Seattle. Since the Relocation committee only had 2 people who disagreed, they agreed to flip their vote to make them appear unanimous. Stern didn't allow the Finance committee to vote and now says that no vote is scheduled.
So basically Stern manipulated what was supposed to happen yesterday to appear that Sacramento had won unanimously, then closed the books and called it good and over with. Well apparently Ballmer and the Seattle group is pissed about it. Like the article stated, this could get ugly if something isn't worked out.

There was a reason the the Native Americans were "forced" there for the Indian Removal.

I'd like the Sonics back, but I mean this was it for Sacramento. City wasn't getting another chance. Too small market.
Seattle will get something eventually.
