How is Seattle this time of year? I'll be there for a week in late may

I'm not saying anything in this post is false, I'm just trying to see the rationale that stern hates seattle SO much that he'd rather keep a team in a city that just posted the worst attendance figures in the league.
It just seems like a team in Seattle is guaranteed short term success (money wise) whereas that is certainly not the case in Sacramento. Long term success has too many variables to reasonably predict for either city imo.
Why would the other owners want to keep Seattle out?
Like I said in my previous post, educate me. I think Seattle should have an NBA team, and I thought this deal was a lock.
Financially, Seattle makes much more sense and will produce more revenue for the owners. If the owners were actually able to vote how the felt instead of how they were told to vote, the Kings would be on their way to Seattle. Stern is basically running the whole thing and you also have probably the most hated man in Seattle as the head of the relocation committee. Stern and Bennett legitimately do not like Seattle.

Told by who? Stern works for the owners. Not the other way around.

You may not feel that way, but I legitimately have had some heated face to face arguments with Sonics' fans who basically blame all of Oklahoma. Quite asinine.
Eh, sounds like you ran into some hardcore fans who were emotionally worked up about it all.
You wouldn't move to the nicest parts of the country because the majority of the people in those regions have a different political opinion from you? You seem like a well-adjusted individual.

Stern runs it, don't let them fool you. Why in the world would owners deny something that would get them more money? They get part of the relocation fee, Seattle is a bigger media market, adding the richest owners group in the league, and Seattle would feed revenue sharing whereas Sacramento takes from it. The finance committee never voted today, only the relocation committee. So the vote was actually only 7-0.
And to the person who asked about how the weather is right now, it's spring so we do have a lot of overcast days right now. Show up in another month and you'll have the most beautiful area in the country for a few months.

This just doesn't make sense to me.
Maybe Clay hates Seattle. Fair enough. Why wasn't the relocation committee vote 6-1 in favor of moving them?
Why would the other owners vote against their self-interest? How does Stern have the power to get the owners to all agree to make less money?

OT: Did you go to U of W? I hear the football field overlooking the Puget Sound is amazing.
I didn't for undergrad, but plan on going there next year for grad school. The football field is under a complete renovation and is almost done. Going to be amazing once it's finished. We open the season in the new stadium against Boise St. and it will probably be nationally televised.

This is why Seattle was so baffled by what happened today. The numbers financially lean very heavily towards Seattle.
ETA: And with the NBA voting, they pretty much all agree to vote unanimously. They don't want to appear divided.

Dude, you live in Oklahoma. You're already there.
Keep hating on some of the most gorgeous scenery in the country though and pimping OKC/Sahara Desert. You're killin' it.

It's been beautiful here lately. Sunny and high 50s - 60s during the day, cool at night

I've never spent any time in Oklahoma, but my brother attempted to move there at one point. He made it about 6 months, said it was the most ugly, depressing state imaginable

The Seattle owners already owned all of the land needed, had a binding agreement in place, a non-refundable down payment, a brand new arena ready to be built,

IMHO, it's because the city thought the Sonics were bluffing about leaving if they didn't get a new arena like the Seahawks and Mariners.
It didn't help that Starbucks magnate Howard Schultz apparently couldn't find a local owner when he sold.
Considering that Nintendo owns the Mariners and Paul Allen owns the Seahawks, you'd think they could have found someone in the Seattle-area tech community willing to pony up to keep them there.
