I for one will start off by saying I love what Hill has the possibility to do at the RB position if stays out of trouble off the field.

The question I have is how most of the rant experts here would choose if they could have Hill back for an exciting 2013 season and possible 2014 and lose out on Fournette? Or lose Hill for. good and lock up Fournette. guaranteed for 3 years?

It sounds like maybe an easy choice with Fournette but we have all seen Hills ability at this level what if Fournette doesn't transition well?

AGAIN just a hypothetical I bet we get the best of both worlds.

Fournette is a once in a decade prospect.

This answer is easy.

If Hill comes back and has a good season I don't see him staying another season. Just my guess though might be wrong

No doubt IMO. He's gone if he has a great/good season. Everyone knows what stud is lurking in the shadows of HS right now.

Umm?? Ill take Hill back for a couple years after his charges get dropped. Then have LF come in and grab 150 carries as a frosh and then 300 the next two.

Why can't we have both?

Joe McKnight was a "once in a decade" prospect.

Lache Seastrunk was a "Once in a decade" prospect.

Bryce Brown was called a "once in a decade" prospect

I'll give you Joe McKnight.

Seastrunk was not labeled as a "once in a decade" prospect.. by anyone. There was a ton of hype for him on this site because of his highlight reel and because a poster on here, who is a big time LSU fan, is friends with Seastrunk's family.

Bryce Brown would have been an incredible college football running back, and he's now a backup for the Philadelphia Eagles so I'm not sure what you're trying to prove by bringing his name up.

Joe got lazy in college and had controversy. He is now a solid contributor for the Jets. But yes, he was supposed to be the next Reggie Bush. Fournette is bigger, stronger, better character, and just as fast. This kid is unreal.

LOL WUT? Was he even a top 5 RB that year?

Would've killed it in college but was crazy and listened to the wrong people. He is a pretty badass pro and will be a huge contributor for the Eagles soooo this was a terrible example.

McKnight did not have everything and Lache doesn't either, although he'll be in the top 5 next year and probably first or second RB off the board for the 2014 draft.

Bryce Brown did and I'd have to check to see if he even played a year's worth of college ball before gaining almost 350 yards and 4 TDs in his first 2 games in the NFL in the middle of the season.

Agreed, I love Hill but this is the answer

Also, LF will be the next time LSU has a legit Heisman prospect.

Considering all thats going on right now its no competition. I would take Fournette in a heart beat.

Hill is a great RB but this is the 2nd time he's been arrested and he's 20 years old.

Fournette is considered the best RB prospect since AP, could legit win a heisman here

Look at his on the field production. He was hyped a ton but LF is a much, much better RB prospect than McKnight.

So far off. He wasn't even a consensus top 20 prospect.

No he wasn't he wasn't #1 in his recruitment until he had a GREAT game at the army all american game. Also he would have been a stud in college but now backs up a top 10 back in the league.

Leonard's on a different level of all 3.

Miles doesn't let one back have enough carries to win Heisman.

Stevan Ridley averaged 19 carries a game in 2010
Spencer Ware before suspension, avg 18 carries a game in 2011
Jeremy Hill averaged 17 carries per game in 2012

conversely the last 3 heisman running backs avg
Reggie Bush 15 carries a game
Mark Ingram 19 carries a game
Trent Richardson 20 carries a game

Fournette will already have two things going for him. One, is a team at the top level of the league so the exposure will be there. The second is he has to play against the best competition. The thing with our backs is that they don't have high ypc averages and the don't have enough secondary stats (receptions, returns etc)

you'd have to have at least 1500yds to be considered a heisman candidate at RB and close to or over 20 total TDs. Our top back get the TDs (Scott 18, Ridley 15, Hill 12 in 8 games) but their ypc average is way too low to even get a mention.

Fournette is high school AP caliber and could go 1500+ and get the receiving yardage needed too.

Miles will keep grinding his top back for at least 17 carries a game so no worries.
