Have you actually listened to the full albums?

Yes.

We would be jamming some Dead Kennedys or Misfits, but the girls always wanted Blink.

I was once in a crowd of about 20-30 for a Blink show.

"Any Way You Want It" is the best song by Journey.

Stan Bush> Kenny Loggins

Where do you people come up with all this obscure stuff?

Obsucre music publication rolling Stone called Pinkerton the 16th greatest album ever, and the album has sold a million copies. Don't like it all you want, but pretending Pinkerton is some obscure album is contrary to reality. It's not Dark Side of the Moon, but it is pretty famous.

All of the people who hate Kurt Cobain, and judging by this thread, there are many, only hate him because they are pissed he was the major contributor to destroying hair metal and that 1991 is a major dividing line when the majority of kids stopped paying attention to "classic rock". It's not that he sucks, it's that there is real envy there. How dare we not worship the Boomer gods?

And I say this as someone who is not a Nirvana superfan.

My unpopular opinion is...

Nirvana were miles better than any of the other "big" bands out of the Seattle-ish area, with Mudhoney being a close second...

Cant stand AICs and PJ and SG, while not terrible, are not my kinda music...

Also, in regards to grunge spin offs, Bush and STP were comically bad IMO...

Agreed. I love Dirt and Jar of Flies by AIC though.

Heart is a disgusting example of rock & roll.

I cannot listen to their songs for even 30 seconds without it making me angry.

Meh, i think a lot of people recognize that he hit it big with one game changer, a couple other nice tunes and some great covers. Massively overrated as a writer. Generally overrated otherwise.

The best thing to happen to Grunge was Cobain's shotgun.

Oh, and the guy gets included in great guitarists lists which is pretty much an instant indicator of a shitty list.

Absolutely agree. Enjoyed STP as a young teenager, but they did not age well and their music kept getting more and more generic.
