Nutty place. Seemed to be on a wait all night, but at least 1/3 of the tables weren't seated. I guess a hundred dollar handshake does really work.

They ran out of the bottle of red we chose after the first one, I didn't check the bill to see if the one the waitress selected for us was really the 'same price point'. I drank Knob instead of the wine selections.

We ordered very strangely, two apps for each guy and an entree for each girl - we absolutely should have made it clear that we wanted all the food together, there was at least an hour wait between them. Slow your roll...

I got a cheese plate and carpaccio, the other guy got stuffed wings and boudin balls. I didn't try his, he freaking loved my carpaccio though. The cheese plate was great, lots of accoutrements. Candied pecans, strawberries, apple butter, a strawberry chutney...I forget what else. The plate had a blue, an aged manchego and a sheeps milk breeish offering. The carpaccio was absolutely traditional.

My wife got the roasted duck, and it came with a fantastic cornbread pudding. Duck had a real nice whiskey glaze and was surprisingly juicy.

The service was great and the place is nice. I think they could have done better with the artwork, they prepped it so nicely with the exposed brick through the sheetrock. Then they just screwed up some posters of the staff, which haven't aged well at all.

We got there at 8:00 or so and left after 10:30. A bit more than we initially wanted out of dinner but I was pie eyed by the time we left.
