I have to take some clients to eat in Nola, one is a veg head. I don't need a "vegetarian restaurant" but a place that a vegetarian could find some decent items on the menu. Help!

Go eat at Restaurant August and order a killer meal for yourself that's generously garnished with lemon and kale. For your friends, just order a bunch of extra garnish. They should be full of lemon and kale by the time you leave.

Speaking of good vegan spots, my girlfriend recommended vega tapas cafe in Metairie.

Her and her best friend are vegetarians and love that place.

Carmo is excellent but you order at the counter, and because it isn't the biggest operation, it can be slow. Not sure if it is a"client-worthy" experience but that depends on the clients.

What type of atmosphere are you looking for? Area of town? I could narrow down recs based on that. There are lots of options from casual to August.

Any good restaurant (August, Luk, Mila, Emerils, Palace Cafe etc) that doesnt dump Sysco product out of a can and actually cooks there food will turn out a nice vegetarian dish.

I would look for that instead of a makeing the other clients suffer from a vegan meal. Better to piss off one than the whole geoup.

Good to hear, a family friend of mine owns/cooks there. I've been a few times but don't make it out there regularly. I know he does a few special menus that are specifically vegan/veggie.

it's not a big "wine and dine" type meal, really a lunch meeting. August is great and so are some of the other one's mentioned, but it's a casual lunch meeting.

Louisiana Pizza Kitchen has some good vegetarian stuff. A little further down Carrolton there's Cafe Grenada for tapas.

Pretty much any Mediterranean place will have a few vegetarian things, and a good Thai place will as well. My wife and I really enjoyed SukhoThai on magazine or in Marigny.

Green Goddess is a good place for a really interesting vegetarian meal, but some people might be a little turned off by it. I loved it but my wife wasn't as big of a fan. (but of course I didn't eat vegetarian there)

Does the vegetarian eat fish?

A nice lunch spot would be Rio Mar, or you can try the new Peche. Both are in the Warehouse Dist. and offer good a lunch.
