So the pro golfers hate the TPC of LA

Yet the winning score the last four years has been -20, -19, -15, and -18. Looks like some guys can play the course well.

Playing the course well does not equal liking the course.

They played the course very short this year. But the course is crap. 2nd worse course on tour.

I'm pretty sure they played lift, clean, and place too

To the average golfer, its not. But to players and people who play nice courses all the time it is crap. Greens are too small. The bunkers are shite. The little finger bunkers are crap. Par 3's are too hard.
Then we can start talking about fan space.

Bunkers on the course are an absolute joke.

They bitch because they want an easier course. Pete Dye must have hated pro golfers because he sure loves to make courses tough. I hate where some of the pot bunkers are at the TPC and agree that some of the greens are too small but the worst part about some of the greens is that a shot only a few feet short or long will leave you an impossible putt.

I like the course....but am no pro golfer. I could see where a pro would look down on it. Many of the smaller items that are taken care of at a high end club don't happen at TPCL.

I've never played there. How does it rank to La Tour?
Posted on 4/28/13 at 7:38 pm to double d
How much easier do they want it? The winners are consistently scoring in the upper teens below par. That's better than most of the tournaments, or at the very least in the middle of the pack. For every hard hole on the course, there are easy birdie holes like most of the par 5's, #10, and #13 is a very easy hole.

They got 6 players out of the top 25 in the world rankings. I suspect they will get twice as many next week in Charlotte.
