In my buddy's hole, four boats anchored. 3 steelhead in, 3 lost.

My partner got one.

Not weighed yet but it's about 8-9 lbs. Third boat in got a 14 lb hog.

One things for sure, we're catching a buzz and some sun rays in April.

Nice. One thing I want to do one day is catch a steelhead on a fly. Is 3 caught in 4 boats a decent trip?

River

Columbia river slough, near St. Helens, OR, which becomes the willamette river.

Columbia isn't open yet.

Weatherman called for rain today. Pffftttt....sunglasses, shorts, and sunscreen are in order.

Catching a steelie on a fly ain't easy, props to those who do.

The season is just starting to pick up. Soon, it'll be hot.

Was out last weekend in the same spot without even a bump between 3 boats in 4 hours.

If we can get it to stop snowing, I'll be fishing in a couple of weeks... Looks like you folks have nice weather down that way.
