He's in the League now. Don't expect it to get any better. He will be on egg shells for the rest of his life, unless of course he wins a Super Bowl and says "God" all the time like Ray Lewis.

Everything he said is true, but here is some perspective: his biological Dad is a murderer and his mom never wanted anything to do with him until he became famous. Does Mathieu get it? No, he doesn't. Did he have good people raising him? Yeah, he did, but the damage is deep. He has been dreaming for years that he is coulde be "the man," the man as defined not by Cole 's idea of what is honarable and good, but as defined by his homies. Cole really doesnt have a clue.... He rally doesn't.

Some people just want to see people fail.
I get a kick out of how he blames Mathieu for the publicity he has gotten, yet is writing an article about TM7.
Truth is, Jason Cole probably doesn't like Mathieu and never will. Good thing is it doesn't matter if he does and it doesn't matter if 31 of the NFL executives he spoke to don't because the AZ Cardinals have him.
Stories like this make me disappointed in the human race, tbh.

That's the main thing I got from that article. Some of the 'red flags' he spoke about were absolutely ridiculous. Others were worrying, but honestly, some of the criticism lately makes he think that no matter what Mathieu does, someone's going to make it out to be negative. Seriously, if he had not been at the draft or not given an interview after, I can image the bullshite that would have been said about him. Getting publicity is a 'red flag'? Crazy. Especially after the media covered for Teo and his fake dead girlfriend and pretended like the guy hadn't lied or exaggerated or isn't a headcase at all.

Mathieu and company weren't just smoking weed. He, Jefferson, Hatcher were grinding it and selling it hence the 10 plus bags of the stuff. Anybody that thinks he was just smoking a little weed is crazy.
