Why is it always our most needed players that pull this shite? I mean why don't we have any walk ons that can hang out with J. Hill so they can fight instead of him. It's just crazy that it is always our best players making these stupid choices.

It matters because this is the first incident he has gotten into while he was a member of the LSU football team. Period. We are not going to get into the details of the other incident as everyone knows that was blown completely out of proportion as well. If Hill was the type that went around looking for trouble, then I can understand coming down hard as it's a matter of time before he stumbles again, but do you really believe that. He got called a Ni**a multiple times to his face and put someone in there place in one incident, and got sexual favors that were consensual from someone a few years younger than him and then parents flipped out. It's not as if he's a felony waiting to happen.

yeah wtf.

I work for a publicly traded company and they wouldn't do this. Misdemeanor bar fight that I was provoked in by racial comments? They wouldn't care at all.

I believe the code of business conduct for most businesses is self reporting to your supervisor if an arrest occurs.

Exactly, no need to kick him off the team and make an example out of this

Thank you.

Les has showed he'll kick off players even if it cripples the team (RP). I don't think Hill is a bad dude driving around with guns, drugs, and counterfeit money like RP however. Tyrann was(is) a pothead but a great teammate who didn't harm anyone else and thats why he got several chances.

Yep. And I'd explain the situation to them and they'd say "its ok, go back to work and let me know how it plays out" or something like that.

I've worked for 5 different large companies over the course of my 25 year professional petrochemical career and have never heard of this. It might depend upon what the type of business you are in, though. If you were the Parish priest a misdemeanor might cause a stink.

I would never self report an arrest. It is none of my employers business.

FWIW, the reason I think my company would fire me is not because it's misdemeanor or felony. But because it would show a lack of judgement.

Now, I may be wrong on that. But I try to assume that I'm right and avoid those situations anyway.

I might get fired for a DUI, but I wouldn't report it to see if I can sneak by

For me, not reporting is worse than reporting anything.

You won't have too. There are websites specifically dedicated to posting mugshots, arrests reports, etc. Facebook sites as well.

Call me late, but im just now hearing about the whole Jeremy Hill and 14 year old girl case. From what ive read it was only a misdemeanor, he didnt have to register as a sex offender. Sounds like the judge went very easy on him.( I wonder if its because hes a bigtime athlete? who knows) But point is i had a friend in high school, 17, girl was 15. Had sex couple of times, and later broke up. Daddy got mad, pressed charges. 5 years later he is still a registered sex offender and his life is all kinds of fricked up. I hate it for him too because the law is not consistent with this type of stuff at all
