Where was the first place you CC'ed?

Yeller's thread about getting his permit in the mail made me think of this.
When I first started carrying, I thought everyone and their dog knew I was armed. It was a weird feeling at first that has now become normal.
Where was the first place you carried in public? Mine was Subway.

Hospital. Was given permission after a few incidents in the ER. Small hospital with no security. Had to brandish it one week later after a meth head pulled a knife.

Use it!! The permit is only for CC. Whose to say you weren't open carrying. If u got in any trouble, it would be for using the gun.

To carry it concealed legally.
ETA- It is mainly needed to carry in a vehicle loaded and ready to use. You can open carry but not in a vehicle. So the CC protects you if you keep a loaded gun in a vehicle.

Not in LA. You don't need a CC permit to keep a firearm in a vehicle.
AL is the only southern state I know of that doesn't allow it. I guess I can add AR to the list.
Having a carry permit does make traveling over southern state lines easier though...
