Who would have ever thought RB's would become a position teams just pass on until early mid rounds because you can always "grab a guy"?

Last guy I recall going high and really panning out was AP. And I was worried about him due to collarbones.

The NFL did this with rules that glorify passing. You can't defend receivers anymore so you have to get to the QB which lead to speed rushers and OTs becoming premium commodities.

There are so many good RBs but very few elite ones. I think Lattimore would have been a very high pick if not for the injury.

This will be the norm soon enough

drafting a RB in the backend of the first will be like drafting a FB in the 2nd round

umm, not neccessarily... considering their passing game is awful and he's all they have. Remember the Arky white dude a couple years ago also got a thousand yd season.

Not to bag on him, just pointing out- RB yardage ain't what it used to be.

You just supported his point. Richardson is going against 8 man fronts often and still producing.

naw. RBs were already being heavily devalued before them

solid-good RBs are just plentiful. that means there is an abundant supply and their value goes down

It's not all about the NFL rules though that does have a factor. There just isn't a whole lot of difference in RB's period unless you are an elite back and if your line can't block most of the time it doesn't matter who your RB is.

Guess. So. And unless you have an AP you are doing "RB by committee" anyway.
